Black
Forest
Black
Forest is a rural
residential area of approximately 200,000 acres stretching from the
northern city limits of Colorado Springs northward to the northern
boundary of El Paso County, and eastward from Colorado Highway 83
approximately 10 miles to Eastonville Road.
Black
Forest is in unincorporated El Paso County, and is heavily forested
with some open grasslands. The residential opportunity in Black Forest is
typically large lots described in acres, whereas urban area lots are
described in square feet. The area rises from about 6,500 feet elevation
at the northern City Limits of Colorado Springs, to about 7800 feet
elevation at the northern boundary of El Paso County.
Black
Forest was named after The Black Forest in Germany, which it very
closely resembles. Black Forest is a great residential opportunity for
those who desire to be close to the United States Air Force Academy, the
northern edge of Colorado Springs, or those who frequently commute to
Denver.
